不同類型的字型

在 GNU/Linux 的系統下，目前可以使用的字型又可分為下列幾種不同規格。

TrueType 字型

.ttf

PostScript 字型

.pfa .pfb

bitmap 字型

.pcf .bdf .pcf.gz .bdf.gz

TeX 字型

.vpl, .pl, .vf .tfm

Arch Linux 所提供的字型套件

中文

• ttf-tw - （繁體字）國字標準字體（楷書／宋體）母稿——中華民國教育部(AUR).
• ttf-arphic-ukai - 楷體 Kaiti (brush stroke) unicode TTFonts
• ttf-arphic-uming - 明體 Mingti (printed) unicode TTFonts
• opendesktop-fonts - firefly宋体

日語

• otf-ipafont - Formal style Japanese Gothic (sans-serif) and Mincho (serif) fonts set; one of the highest quality open source font. Default of openSUSE-ja. (AUR)

歐洲的語言　

• ttf-linux-libertine - High quality Serif and Sans serif OpenType fonts with large unicode coverage.

Microsoft Windows fonts

• ttf-ms-fonts - 微軟的 TTF 字型 (壓縮檔)
